Her 27-year journey with ISRO reflects the power of perseverance, innovation, and passion in breaking boundaries and reaching for the stars.
As we reflect on Nandini's incredible career, it's impossible not to be inspired by her role as Deputy Director at ISRO's Telemetry Tracking and Command Network Centre (ISTRAC). Her expertise in Mission Design and Spacecraft Operations has played a major role in the success of more than 20 satellite missions. All these missions majorly help India’s economic growth in recent times. Nandini's leadership in leading the tracking and control of ISRO's satellites and interplanetary missions has earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and the nation as a prestigious Women Scientist.
In recent years, Nandini led the operations team at ISTRAC, overseeing India’s Prestigious missions such as Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya L1. Nandini's dedication and determination turned obstacles into stepping stones, inspiring generations of women scientists worldwide and also playing a big role in the success of Chandrayaan-3.
Nandini's remarkable career highlights also include her important role as Deputy Operations Director for the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), commonly known as Mangalyaan. Under her guidance, MOM marked India's maiden success in interplanetary exploration, showcasing the world with its historic success on the very first attempt.
Beyond her professional duties, Nandini's commitment to education and outreach shines brightly. Through lectures in schools, engineering colleges, and organizations she has shared sparked curiosity in the next generation of scientists and engineers globally. Her TEDx talks and contributions to educational initiatives showcase her dedication to empowering young minds and fostering a culture of scientific inquiry.
